Associate Professor Laura Wilson, PhD, MRes, Bsc

Laura Wilson is an ARC Future Fellow and Head of Biological Anthropology at the Australian National University, and is affiliated with the ARC Training Centre for Multiscale 3D Imaging, Modelling and Manufacturing. Laura has received major funding from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Swiss National Science Foundation, Australian Research Council, and National Science Centre Poland. Laura’s research interests are primarily focused on the growth, development and evolution of mammals, 3D imaging and modelling of hard and soft tissues, vertebrate anatomy and morphology and statistical shape analysis. Laura currently leads several projects that use shape modelling to investigate sex differences in lower limb morphology, with application for orthopaedic management of osteoarthritis and fracture.
